BLUE SWALLOWTAIL STUDIO
Testamonial from one of my students
" I have been learning the art of fused glass under the direction of JoAn McGregor for four years. She has been an inspiration to me and has allowed me to express myself through my glass projects giving technical guidance to my artistic vision. I always feel a sense of welcome in her studio and consider myself fortunate to have learned from such a glass master!" JE

~ART WASHES AWAY FROM THE SOUL THE DUST OF EVERYDAY LIFE~
WELCOME to Blue Swallowtail Studio's web site.
Every piece of glass art for sale was designed and created by JoAn on site; visitors are encouraged to watch the process and are free to ask questions. Each and every piece is one of a kind.
We have a Gallery displaying the items for sale that I have designed and fused, or created in other media.
I began designing glass jewelry in 2004, and started selling my creations at the Kansas Grown Farmers Market that Spring. The rest is history, I had so many requests to see my work other times of the year so I went looking for a store front. (The truth be known, I ran out of room at home.) The new location is my fourth location, and by far the best ever.
This is an art piece 11x14" created with ivory glass, noodles that were slumped on a wavy mold and then layed on their sides. Irridized clear coarse frit was added for the reflected colors and dichroic glass was the final design elements. 11" x 14"
